With a semblance to archeology, my art making process is an odyssey in manipulating surface for discovery. A consuming exploration to understand what is and what was. Affecting shapes emerge and perish almost simultaneously and their reveal does not come easy.

Raised in a family of passionate storytellers rooted in ancestral folklore resonates deep within me, and I paint with the same conviction and spirit. With a unending desire to understand my reasons for communicating these unsettled and irreducible forms, this tearing down of figure and ground is where I begin to see truth.
